Our team has visited the venue and has decided to reschedule the Night Lights event at New Castle Motorsports Park this weekend.
Saturday's weather forecast calls for high winds, scattered thunderstorms, and rain showers throughout the day.
As you know, our MAIN priority is a safe and enjoyable launch. Because of the forecasted rain and wind conditions, we—alongside the venue and fire marshal—have made the decision to postpone this weekend’s lantern launch.
We have secured the soonest reschedule date available and will be holding this launch on Saturday, June 6th at New Castle Motorsports Park.
All previous tickets will be honored for this 2020 date. You won’t need to contact our support team to transfer your tickets — they will automatically be deemed valid. Just show up and enjoy good weather, good food, and a GREAT launch.
If the rescheduled date of Saturday, June 6th doesn’t work for you, please email our team for a free transfer to any Night Lights event of your choice or ticket credit to use towards any future events.

Every event is equipped with a full cleaning crew and LANTERN CHASERS who literally chase lanterns from the moment they are lit, following their trajectory, for a quick pickup. This efficient crew continues a widespread search for lanterns before we leave our event location, sweeping the area during the lantern launch and directly after. ⭐🔦
This meticulous process can take up to a full 48 hours and three separate trips, during which the area is surveyed with extensive care. We pride ourselves on using ecologically harmless lanterns that are 100% biodegradable. Our lanterns simply contain rice paper, bamboo, and natural fiber string— we are dedicated to leaving no footprint other than magic. We like to humblebrag that we leave grounds cleaner than they were when we arrived. ⭐🔦 Hope that answers your question!
There will be delicious food, music, and games. Every ticket comes with a personal sky lantern, a marker to craft your message to the skies, and a lighter to light your lantern's fuel cell. Personal fire pits for cuddling ‘n lounging around and all of your s'more roasting dreams are available for purchase for $30 each. People love to hang out by their campfire and count down to the sky lantern launch with loved ones, but we also offer activities for those who prefer to roam the Night Lights grounds.

We've worked closely with both state and local officials, as well as fire marshals, to ensure our event is executed safely and legally — especially with regard to the lighting and releasing of lanterns. Night Lights has received a permit for lighting and releasing lanterns (in most places, this practice is illegal unless you have a permit in place).
The lanterns that Night Lights uses are specially-designed. The lanterns are 100% biodegradable, flame retardant, and have a fuel cell that has a quicker burn time designed to fully burn out before returning to the earth's surface.
