All About Ticket Credit
The Policy
Note: Night Light Events has a NEW Ticket Credit Policy for the 2024 season. Please read carefully below.
Similar to a sporting event or concert, Night Lights has a no refund policy.
However, as a weather-dependent event, every once in a while Night Lights may be required to reschedule an event to a new date, due to weather. We understand that these circumstances may be inconvenient for you to attend the new, rescheduled date.
All ticket holders for the original date will automatically have their tickets transferred to the new, rescheduled date. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, or any other event on our current schedule, you will be eligible to hold your tickets as Ticket Credit. This means that your tickets will be saved for an event the following year, once the new schedule is announced.
You must request a Ticket Credit by midnight, the day before the rescheduled date. Just log into the Account Dashboard and click the “Hold Tix” button below your order. You will receive an email confirmation and your order status will be updated, once your request has been processed.
*If you do not see this button, then your tickets are not available for Ticket Credit.
Once we announce our event schedule in the following year, you will be emailed instructions on how to redeem your new tickets. You will receive the same number of tickets that you have credit for, no matter the current price of tickets. This means you can redeem your new tickets at any time.
The fine print:
- Ticket Credit is only applicable to ticket holders in which their event is rescheduled by Night Lights
- Ticket Credit must be requested by midnight, the day before the rescheduled date. Please note, it may take a couple of days for our customer support team to process the credit — but rest assured, we are on it and you will receive an email confirmation once it is complete.
- Your ticket credit MUST be redeemed in the current, or next calendar year; your credit will expire at the end of the following calendar year on November 15.
- No fees will apply
- Night Lights will not offer reimbursements (even if the future event has less expensive tickets)
- You will receive the same number of tickets that you have credit for, no matter the current price of tickets

If you want to attend an event with a confirmed date that is different from the rescheduled event, you can request a ticket transfer, and we will waive the ticket transfer fee.

My event was rescheduled, what do I need to do?
If the new reschedule date works for you, nothing! Your tickets have been automatically transferred to the new date. Your tickets will be located in your Account Dashboard and can be resent to your email by clicking the “Resend Tix” button below your order.
I can’t attend the rescheduled date, what are my options?
We have several options if you cannot attend the new, rescheduled date:
- Request a Transfer to a different event (fees will be waived).
- Request a Refund, if you purchased Ticket Protection.
- Request a Ticket Credit for use at an event, the following year

How do I request a Ticket Credit?
Just log into the Account Dashboard and click the “Hold Tix” button below your order. If you do not see this button, then your tickets are not available for Ticket Credit. You will receive an email confirmation and your order status will be updated once your request has been processed. Your current tickets will no longer be valid and Ticket Protection will be void.
How do I redeem a Ticket Credit?
You will be emailed instructions on how to redeem your credit starting 12/15/23.
All you need to do is log into the Account Dashboard and click on the “Redeem Credit” button below your order. If you do not see the Redeem Credit button, we did not receive your Ticket Credit request in the prior season, and we will need to review your order manually. Please reach out through our Support Form so our team can assist you.
Once your request to redeem your tickets has been processed, your new tickets will be emailed to you and you will receive an email confirmation.

When do I have to request the ticket credit by?
Credit requests will only be accepted by midnight the day before the rescheduled date. Please note, it may take a couple of days for our customer support team to process the transfer — but rest assured, we are on it!
When do my ticket credits expire?
Any tickets purchased will ONLY be valid for: A) the season in which the tickets were originally purchased, or B) the following season after tickets were originally purchased. Tickets held as credit will expire and not be redeemable, if not used by November 15th, the year following the original event.
For example, if you purchased your tickets for a 2024 event, you have until November 15, 2025 to redeem and use them. Any ticket credits that were held in 2023 must be used for a 2024 event, or they will expire on November 15, 2024.
What is the cost for a ticket credit?
There is no cost for a ticket credit. It is our way of saying “thanks” for your flexibility.
What if I redeem the ticket credit for an event, and THEN decide that I want to transfer to another event?
We offer a ticket credit - redeemable to any event in the current or following year - as a one time courtesy, due to a reschedule. If you have credit, redeem it for an event and THEN want to transfer again, you will be required to pay the $8 per ticket Transfer fees, plus any price differences.
